Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy

The Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy (LRWC) is welcoming
 children and adults on Saturday mornings at 10:00 am to f
eed the ducks. The Conservancy has over 400 birds representing
70 species in their aviaries and meadow. Visitors can feed the swans,
geese, cranes and ducks alongside the Conservancy’s
aviculturists and learn about birds from all over the world.
Also, for the first time LRWC is now open to the public on
 Friday along with Saturday and Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm from
May through November. Private tours for visitors and members,
school groups and clubs are welcome year-round with a prior reservation.

Litchfield Hills Farm-Fresh Outdoor Market

Center School Parking Lot
Woodruff Street, Litchfield
The year round Litchfield Hills Farm-Fresh Market
is moving outdoors for the summer season to the
Center School parking lot and will be there
every Saturday, 10 am - 1 pm through mid-October.  

Over 15 vendors participate offering seasonal field-fresh fruits,
vegetables, herbs; mushrooms; local eggs; pasture fed beef,
chicken  and pork, artisanal breads and baked goods
 - regular and gluten free; pies, cider doughnuts
and biscotti; salsas made from local ingredients;
award winning goat and cow cheese; honey;
 maple syrup and goat milk soaps.

Each week a local chef brings ready to take
home foods.  A recipe tasting each week.  
Music, guest artists, local nonprofits and
a free gardening and cookbook exchange.

Litchfield Community Center
The year round Litchfield Hills Farm-Fresh Market is moving indoors
for the winter/spring season to the Litchfield Community Center
and will be there every Saturday, 10 am - 1 pm through December,
and then twice a month after that through May.
